In late 2025, VilliZANINI crafted the interior balustrade for the main staircase in the lobby of the prestigious Grand Hotel Ampezzo. This masterpiece was conceived to blend into the hall with harmonious lightness, acting as a visual and aesthetic bridge between the pure classicism of the backlit marble steps and the enveloping warmth of the wood boiserie.
The railing was entirely forged in burnished and brushed architectural bronze, a finish specifically chosen to endow the metal with a unique visual depth. The dark, warm tones of the burnished finish come alive through the delicate reflections of the brushing, creating a vibrant texture that interacts beautifully with the surrounding environment.
The essential geometries of the structure complete the work’s meticulous details: the square-section vertical stanchions are not merely supports, but intertwine in a staggered framework that plays with the alternation of solid and void spaces. This rhythmic pattern, combined with the linear purity of the continuous handrail, seamlessly unites the clean aesthetic of modern design with the majestic solidity that only VilliZANINI’s high-end Made in Italy artisanal tradition can guarantee.
