Wrought iron and brass bamboo railings

Russia -

For the internal staircase of a luxury private villa in Cheliabinsk (Russia) we crafted some bespoke railings and handrail made of wrought iron and brass.

The wrought iron spindles that mark the balustrade are inspired to the aesthetic of bamboo canes. The ornamental part, instead, is represented by stylized cast brass rosettes punctuating the balustrade.

While combining simple design and theatrical effect, this architectural element also features an interesting mix of materials: the nuances of wrought iron are in perfect harmony with the warm shades of brass.

Balustrades and handrail manufactured on a project by Architect Lilian Bettiol.
